The 1st Ekaterinburg Jewish Film Festival is possible due to Best Practices competition that was won by the Festival’s organizers together with Hillel Ekaterinburg, a Jewish campus organization.

The goal of Best Practices competition is to create environment that encourages expansion and adaptation of the most successful projects, realized as part of a program that supports initiatives aiming at revival of Jewish self-awareness, development of contemporary Jewish culture and Jewish communities in the former Soviet countries.  

Jewish Film Festival is a noticeable and significant event on Ekaterinburg’s cultural scene. For Jewish youth of Hillel organization it matters a lot to partner with such an outstanding project. It is, on the one side, an opportunity to get the city audience aquatinted with Jewish values and cultural traditions, and on the other side - to strengthen cultural connections between different nationalities of our region through cinematography,
